Our latest export project has put British engineering to the test — and passed with flying colours. We recently supplied Spectus uPVC sash windows and uPVC French doors from the UK to a new-build home in Jamaica. When Hurricane Melissa struck, the sash windows remained completely intact, while the French doors unfortunately didn’t fare as well.
The homeowner confirmed that every sash window survived the extreme wind without any structural damage, a strong endorsement of the Spectus system’s durability and build quality. The French doors, however, sustained damage from wind pressure and flying debris — valuable feedback that will help us further strengthen our door designs for coastal and hurricane-prone environments.
